Fire Department
At the core of our mission lies the unwavering commitment to safeguarding life, property, and the environment. As the guardians of a secure and compassionate community, we take pride in leading initiatives that empower our citizens to prioritize their personal safety. The Swift Current Fire Department stands out as one of the most proactive departments in Saskatchewan, setting the standard for fire prevention.
We firmly believe that prevention is our primary duty, exemplified by our firefighters actively engaging in fire safety inspections, educational outreach in schools, senior centers, and industries, home smoke alarm checks (upon request), fire hydrant flow testing, and continuous accessibility to our citizens.
Comprising 20 full-time members and up to 20 part-time paid-on-call firefighters, all rigorously trained and certified to international standards, our composite fire department is dedicated to upholding industry best practices. Our overarching goal is to lead by example in delivering services that meet the highest standards.
