Trees
The City of Swift Current manages and protects our urban forest through policies and seasonal programs that support healthy trees throughout the community. This page includes information on the Boulevard Tree Policy, elm tree restrictions and dates, and general guidance on tree care such as pruning and banding. Residents with questions about City trees located on or adjacent to their property are encouraged to contact Community Services.

ELM TREE PRUNING
The Elm Tree Pruning ban is in place each year from April 1 to August 31 to help prevent the spread of Dutch Elm Disease, which is a fatal fungal disease.
