SWIFT CURRENT, SK – The City of Swift Current, in partnership with the Swift Current & District Farmers’ Market Association, is pleased to offer the community’s beloved Market Square for another season from June 21 to September 13, presented by Plewis Automotive Group. The weekly event takes place on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, downtown at the corner of Chaplin Street and Central Avenue North and expanding along 1st Avenue Northeast. There are a few new ways to get involved, providing ease of applications for vendors, partners, and performers!

Vendors:

Market Square vendors are those who are not “under the tent” of the Farmer’s Market, but rather placed either in the main square, along 1^st Avenue Northeast, or in Centennial Plaza. A loyalty appreciation discount is now available for Market Square vendors to commit to the full season. To receive this rate, payment must be made prior to commencement of the season. The seasonal rate is $390 ($30 per Saturday), whereas the daily rate has increased to $40 per Saturday.

The vendor application form has gone digital with many improvements to make applying easier. It is available online at https://forms.swiftcurrent.ca/marketsquareapp.html.

Featured Partners of the Week:

Market Square now offers prime exposure for Featured Partners, being recognized on the main stage at noon, when the Market is at its fullest. Featured Partners receive advertising, cross-promotion on social media, and an opportunity to leverage engagement marketing with thousands of visitors, for just $200 per week. Businesses and organizations can learn more about being a Featured Partner by visiting Featured Partner of the Week | Swift Current.

Main Stage Performers and/or Plaza Buskers

The local entertainment at Market Square from the Innovation Federal Credit Union stage with musical host Alan J. Hudec brings a very special atmosphere to each Saturday. This season, those interested in performing can choose to apply for the main stage, or for busking in the Centennial Plaza along 1st Avenue Northeast, whether musician, magician, juggler, or other.  Some conditions apply. Performers can apply at https://forms.office.com/r/RcAA6FLFKa. Buskers may also sign up on site for available time slots. Busking is unpaid exposure; therefore, these performers are responsible for collecting voluntary donations.
