SWIFT CURRENT, SK- As we move into some warmer weather, coupled with additional forecasted moisture, it’s essential to be prepared for the potential of a higher spring run-off, which could lead to some extra water in our low-lying areas. While weather cannot be predicted with any amount of certainty, we want to ensure our community is ready just in case.
To help you prepare, the City Service Centre has made available sand and sandbags for those who wish to take proactive and precautionary measures to protect their property. Starting February 21, you can fill sandbags at the service center for personal use.

Sandbag Pick-Up: Available during operational hours only, Monday to Friday, from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM
Sandbag Filling Station: Open for use at any time
Where: Enter the main west-facing entrance to sign in
What’s Provided:
- Sand
- Sandbags
- Fill pipe
- (Please bring your own shovel)
Please remember: You must sign in upon arrival and track how many bags you’ve filled and taken.
Additionally! Ensure your sump pumps are in working order: they should be serviced now to help you, and your household contents stay dry.
