Swift Current, SK – The City of Swift Current’s Community Services Division is thrilled to announce the return of the Annual Wellness Challenge, now entering its 13th year. This popular initiative, which has engaged over 3,000 participants since its inception, is designed to foster a healthier lifestyle for all residents—and it’s absolutely free to join!
“We’re especially excited to bring back the friendly competition with Shaunavon for the second year in a row!” says Dwinell Stevenson, In Motion Community Facilitator. “This ‘Healthy Rivalry’ between Swift Current and Shaunavon adds an extra layer of fun and motivation, as both communities strive for the highest points average!”
Running from January 20 to February 16, the Wellness Challenge invites teams from workplaces, organizations, or families to join in, keep track of their wellness points, and focus on goals for nutrition, physical activity, water intake, sleep, and mental health. Participants will log their daily wellness points, contributing to their team’s total. Weekly prize draws will keep motivation high, with a grand prize awarded to the team with the highest average points at the end of the challenge.
The Wellness challenge is a great way to start the year off right by staying active, eating nutritious foods, drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep, and nurturing mental wellness.
