Election 2020
ELECTION DAY HAS BEEN MOVED TO THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH DUE TO THE SEVERE WINTER STORM
General Elections are legislated by the provincial government to be held every four years. The Swift Current Municipal and School Board Election will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020.
Elections are held in order to elect a Mayor and six (6) City Councillors for the City of Swift Current. School Board Trustees are also elected for the Chinook School Division and the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division.
As we take our direction from provincial health officials, election preparation continues, and we anticipate the ability to vote in person in the Fall. Swift Current’s election team will take every precaution to ensure safe physical distancing and sanitizing measures are in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The provincial government election is Monday, October 26, 2020. For information on the provincial election, please visit www.elections.sk.ca
