Some of the most beautiful green spaces in Swift Current can be found at the three cemeteries located in the city. Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Burial Park and Hillcrest Cemetery commemorate those loved ones who have passed on in our city. Located in Mount Pleasant Burial Park you will also find the unique Columbaria Garden.

Memorial Tree Program
In 1999 the Recreation & Parks Department unveiled the Memorial Tree Program to ensure that community loved one could be remembered. Developing a characteristic area along the Chinook Parkway that was once used as the city landfill, Memorial Coulee was established. This distinctive coulee offers a place for individuals to plant a tree in memory of a loved one and in addition to having a tree planted, the loved ones name will also be inscribed onto a plaque that is displayed in the coulee. Since 1999 over 60 Colorado Spruce have been planted here to create a vibrant little forest along the Chinook Parkway.
