The City of Swift Current has long been known for its beautiful and serene parks and green spaces.
The Recreation and Parks Department works tirelessly to provide the best possible parks for the citizens of Swift Current and anyone visiting our lovely city. Whether caring for our extensive tree inventory, grooming the grass in the fields, parks and green spaces, maintaining and building play equipment, ensuring the Chinook Parkway is properly maintained for everyone’s enjoyment, or just taking care of some of the small details that make our parks look spectacular, the department really loves Swift Current’s parks. Chinook Parkway - A relaxing adventure always awaits on the Chinook Parkway. The parkway provides over 18 kilometers of trail alongside the Swift Current Creek in which you can bike, rollerblade or walk. This wheelchair accessible trail is full of wildlife ranging from Meadowlarks to beavers and muskrats; and if you are lucky, deer.
