The Recreation and Parks Department works tirelessly to provide the best possible parks for the citizens of Swift Current and anyone visiting our lovely city. Whether caring for our extensive tree inventory, grooming the grass in the fields, parks and green spaces, maintaining and building play equipment, ensuring the Chinook Parkway is properly maintained for everyone’s enjoyment, or just taking care of some of the small details that make our parks look spectacular, the department really loves Swift Current’s parks. Chinook Parkway - A relaxing adventure always awaits on the Chinook Parkway. The path provides over 18 kilometers of trail along side the Swift Current Creek in which you can bike, rollerblade or walk along. This wheelchair accessible trail is full of wildlife ranging from meadow larks, beavers, muskrats, and if you are lucky, deer.
