The National Fire Protection Association has announced its 2016 theme as "DON'T WAIT - CHECK THE DATE! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years".  Too often we unknowingly put our loved ones at risk because the smoke alarms in our homes no longer work as they were designed to.  The sensor will die as it ages and will no longer sense the products of combustion.

The Swift Current Fire Department has started our annual smoke alarm program.  We are going door-to-door in a select area of the City to check home smoke alarms and provide advice to our citizens about smoke alarms.  Please welcome our members when they come knocking, they are there to protect you and your family.  If you miss them or they are not in your area of the City, check you smoke alarms with your family.
