June is Recreation and Parks Month

The City of Swift Current is celebrating June is Recreation and Parks Month! This month provided the opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of parks and recreation and the role is plays in the quality of life for all!

Join us in what the City of Swift Current has to offer for Sport, Culture and Recreation! This year we have a passport for all community members, go to all stops, go to one, we want all members of our community to go out and enjoy!

Explore all that the city has to offer on our 25km stretch of Parkway!

On June 5^th the City of Swift Current will be hosting Parkway Connection from 1:00 - 4:00pm. Explore different stops along the Chinook Parkway, our summer programs team will be at Riverdene for the Bike Safety event, Elmwood Fit Park, Janie and Helen Rempel Community Garden, and the Disc Golf Course at Riverside Park! All these stops are connected by our parkway, community members can walk, bike, scooter, rollerblade or even unicycle to the stops, SEE YOU THERE!

Scott will be doing a parkway journey during the Parkway Connection on June 5^th! People can join him at the multiple stops he will be making. For more information check out the booster at https://swbooster.com/

There will be fitness activities for young and old, we will also be having a hydration station!

We will have our program staff with supplies for a planting activity.

Never tried disc golf before? A member of our team will be on hand to explain disc golf, give it a try! Just might be your next favourite sport.
