The goal of the United Way Active Play after school program is to provide a safe, supervised program for children to be physically active and have fun while learning about healthy choices such as exercise, nutrition and wellness.
This program is offered once a week to students in grades 1 – 5 in the five city schools for eight weeks at a time. The students are transported on a Swift Transit bus to the Lt. Col. Clifton Centre where the students will play games, learn about nutrition and enjoy a healthy snack. Parents must pick up their child at 5:15 pm at the Lt. Col. Clifton Centre. Over the past 8 years, 2,342 students in the city of Swift Current have participated in this great program!
