The goal of the United Way Active Play after school program is to provide a safe, supervised program for children to be physically active and have fun while learning about healthy choices such as exercise, nutrition and wellness.

This program is offered once a week to students in grades 1 – 5 in the five city schools for eight weeks at a time.

Parents at each school will receive information with more details about this program before the registration process begins.

This program was the 2014 national recipient of the “Speaking of Food and Healthy Living” Award.
