Viewing the Exhibits
The Museum exhibits are all self-guided and include text panels, videos, and other interactive stations to enhance the experience of viewing the artefacts on display. Guided tours for groups can be arranged by contacting the Education & Public Programs Officer.
Parking
Ample parking is available at the Museum, including space for buses and designated handicapped parking.
Children at the Museum
Children are always welcome at the Swift Current Museum! Our exhibitions are designed to be interesting and engaging for people of all ages. Popular attractions at the Museum for children is the 10 metre (35ft) long pre-historic Tylosaur that hangs from the ceiling, and Ranger our very own bison. To protect the artefacts, children must be accompanied by an adult while viewing the Museum exhibits.
Swift Current Visitor Centre
The Museum shares its building with the city’s Tourism Visitor Centre. Information on attractions and other events happening around the City can be obtained at the Centre, as well as maps and other travel information.
