DO I NEED A PERMIT & WHY?
The City of Swift Current Building Bylaw requires a permit be issued prior to the commencement of any construction, erection, placement, alteration, repair, renovation, demolition, relocation or removal of a building or structure.
The demolition permit gives the City Building and Tax Departments information to ensure the safety of our neighborhoods and to adjust your taxes as required.
HOW DO I APPLY & WHAT DO I NEED?
Applications shall be in writing on the form supplied by the City indicating; owners name, address, site address, legal description and description of work. All taxes on the building or any part thereof that is to be demolished shall be paid prior to the issuing of a permit.

PROPERTY CLEAN UP
The owner or his agent of the property from which the building/structure is to be demolished shall remove all rubbish and material and fill in any unused excavation to existing grade level of the property so that the premises are left in a safe and sanitary condition.
