City Clerk



The City Clerk's office acts as the liaison between the citizens of the City and the members of Council. The Clerk's Department is responsible for the preparation and compilation of Council and associated meeting minutes and agendas. At these meetings various decisions are made resulting in numerous correspondence being sent. The City Clerk is considered the official "record keeper" of the City.

An additional area of responsibility for the City Clerk is municipal elections. This has included conducting the elections and by-elections for Mayor and Councillors as well as the Public and Separate School Boards. In addition to the above, this department also provides clerical support to the Chief Administrative Officer, Mayor, Council , Human Resources, Business Development, and Finance Department.
