The Swift Current Regional Airport is located 4 miles (6.5 km) east of the City on Airport Road.  From 1940 to 1944, the Airport served as a training base for pilots who served with the Royal Air Force.

In March 1996 the City of Swift Current took over operations from Transport Canada and contracted out airport services.  The Airport is currently managed through the City of Swift Current Public Works Department.
