The City of Swift Current provides electrical services to the majority of Swift Current. Electrical power is purchased in bulk from SaskPower. Through a system of substations, distribution lines and transformers, the power is then supplied to customers on demand at locations and at voltages that are required by each individual residency/business. This department is also responsible for the street lighting system (including those lovely Christmas Decorations).
