SWIFT CURRENT, SK – The annual Wellness Challenge is back again this year!  The City of Swift Current’s Community Services Division is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles in our community by offering the 10th Annual Wellness Challenge free-of-charge for all community members!  Over the past 9 years, just under 2,500 people have participated in the challenge.

“This is a great opportunity for a healthy start to the new year and is probably more important than ever during the pandemic.  We need to focus on our wellness and staying healthy by being active, eating nutritional foods, drinking water, sleeping, and improving our mental wellness,” said Val Choo-Foo, In Motion Community Facilitator,

This Wellness Challenge runs from January 24 to February 20.  Register a team from your workplace, organization, amongst friends or family by emailing Each team member will keep track of daily wellness points in the areas of nutrition, physical activity, water, sleep, and mental health. At the end of the challenge, the total points from each team will be compiled, and there will be prizes for the top 5 overall individuals with the highest points as well as a prize for the team with the highest average of points.  However, the greatest prize of all is your health and well being!

This year there have been a few changes made to the challenge based on the feedback from previous years, so take a look, gather a team, and join the Wellness Challenge!  Let’s support and encourage each other while we make our health a priority!   Who is up for the challenge?
