Business/public input sought in development of Airport Master Plan

Swift Current Airport is seeking input from the local business community and the general public as part of a process to update its Master Plan. The Master Plan will provide the Airport with a planning and development roadmap for the next 20 years.

Specific feedback requested from businesses and residents will help guide and influence the Airport’s current and future infrastructure requirements along with recommendations on aviation-related developments and services.

“The process of developing a new Master Plan will really shape the future of our regional Airport,” stated Swift Current Airport Manager Todd Schultz. “We’re very interested in what our business community and our residents want to see at our Airport, so we are really encouraging the public to take this opportunity to have their say.”

Two short, online surveys have been developed – one for use by businesses and the other for use by the general public – to kick off public consultation around the Airport Master Plan. Additional public consultation in the form of focus groups are planned for the fall.
